to uncover the strategies and underlying motivations guiding the EU’s diplomatic interventions.

Inequality in Argentina: The Interplay of Race, Class and Gender in Shaping Socioeconomic ConditionsInequality in Argentina: The Interplay of Race, Class and Gender in Shaping Socioeconomic Conditions

Argentina has undergone significant socio-economic transformations in the last decades, yet despite
the significant social progress the country has gone through since the mid-1980s, the issue of
inequality remains persistent and a stable piece of discussion in electoral periods. This thesis delves
into the intricacies of inequality in the Argentinian society, investigating the cultural, historical and
economic factors that generate and sustain these disparities. By looking into how extensively
inequality affects certain sections of the population, namely gendered and racialised people, this
study aims to provide a novel perspective on the systemic issues faced by people of colour (POC)
and women of colour in Argentina (WOC).
