My Story

Building collaborative networks, managing competing demands and structured determination are my main strengths. During my Master’s degree, I decided to pursue a double specialisation. Shortly after, I was also selected for the Leiden Leadership Programme, which assigned me additional responsibilities. This entailed following double the usual course load simultaneously, while also prioritising objectives, and managing multiple tasks. My goal was to obtain the Honours’ college diploma, successfully complete my core specialisations’ courses, and dedicate the following months to my research projects.

To ensure team efficiency and academic quality outputs, I organised peer-support groups where students could share insights. I implemented personal and group schedules, allocating resources and monitoring progress according to priority levels and urgent deadlines.
As a result, my team and I delivered the consultancy project tied to the leadership programme.

I obtained the Honours’ College diploma, and graduated the following year with strong results. Beyond these, my experience inspired other students to pursue double specialisations.

Professionally, I can contribute to project implementation, relationship-building and the development of policy reports. Working as an Academic Consultant as part of my Bachelor’s degree, I had to lead a team of 13 people in drafting a policy report for the WTO. I had to coordinate the project and ensure a timely delivery, while managing a diverse group with different academic backgrounds, working styles and availability. Some members where unable to fully complete their tasks due to external commitments. I thus reallocated responsibilities, and established opportunities for knowledge-sharing and the transfer of tasks. The team delivered the report on time, and it was recognised as the strongest yearly submission by the WTO representative at the presentation event. This experience further contributed to my admission to the Honours College.
